Play Schools & Pre-Primary

The office side of a play school, run from one register

Nursery, LKG and UKG set up as pre-primary years with their own subject set; admissions that record allergies and special-care notes; fee ledgers, receipts and online collection; a daily attendance register and a class noticeboard. What Elevate does not have is the parent-facing half — no app, no photo feed, no pickup code — and that is set out below in the same detail as the rest.

What a play school gets

Every line below names something you can open in a demo and watch work. Where a capability is real but partial, the limit is in the same sentence.

A pre-primary structure, set up as pre-primary

Tell the setup that you run a play school, a playgroup or a pre-primary section — in those words — and it maps that onto Nursery, LKG and UKG rather than making you start at Grade 1. The proposed structure gives those three years their own subject set, Early English, Numbers, Rhymes and Art & Craft, instead of the academic subjects it proposes for Grade 1 upwards. You review the whole proposal on screen and edit it before anything is saved, and you can change it afterwards in academic settings.

Admission, and the details that matter for a small child

One form creates the child and the family record together: father, mother, a separate guardian where there is one, address, and the previous school if there was one. Alongside it, blood group, a free-text allergies field and a special-care note — the things a staff member needs to be able to read in twenty seconds. The emergency contact defaults to the father or guardian captured on the same form. All of it prints on the profile and is carried into bulk exports.

Fees, receipts and online collection

A "Pre-Primary Starter Plan" fee template gives you a single tuition head to edit rather than a blank screen, and you add whatever else you charge — activity, materials, snacks, transport — each on its own frequency and due day, each optionally with a late-fee rule that has a grace period and a cap. Sibling and staff-ward concessions are recorded as a type with a percentage or a fixed amount. Every payment prints a numbered receipt on A4 or an 80mm thermal roll. Online collection runs through your own Razorpay, PhonePe or Paytm account, so money settles into your bank.

Daily attendance and the register

Mark a class on the keyboard across present, absent, late, half day, leave and medical, with anyone left unmarked counted present, so a room of twenty takes one pass. A monthly register per class prints for checking against the paper one you probably still keep. Approved leave is recorded on the same record. There is no separate morning check-in or check-out clock, and no per-child timestamp of when they arrived.

Noticeboard, ID cards and the calendar

A notice can be addressed to the whole school, to named classes or sections, to individual children or to a saved group, with a publish date and an automatic expiry, and it appears on the noticeboard. ID cards print at the real CR80 credit-card size from the register you already have — duplex CR80, A4 duplex, A4 fronts, or a ZIP to hand a card vendor. Events and the school calendar sit alongside, which for a play school is mostly the annual day, the sports day and the holiday list.

What it does not do for a play school

Most preschool software is sold on the parent-facing half. Elevate does not have that half, and it is better that you find out here than in month two.

No parent app, and no parent login at all

This is the one that matters most for a play school, so it is first. Guardians are records on the child — named, contactable, printed, addressed on a letter — but they do not have accounts. There is no parent portal, no native Android or iOS app and no push notifications. The only self-service login the product has is a student one, which is not useful to a four-year-old. Every screen described above is a screen your staff open.

No daily activity feed, photos, meal or nap logs

There is no timeline, no photo sharing, no album, no feeding record, no nap record and no nappy or potty log. Not partial, not behind a flag — those entities do not exist in the product. If your current provider sends parents a picture at lunchtime, Elevate does not replace that.

No milestone or development tracking

There is no observation record, no developmental rubric and no progress framework for motor, sensory, social-emotional or early-cognitive development. Nothing here implements or is measured against EYFS, a Montessori scope-and-sequence, or the NCF for the Foundational Stage. Assessment in the product is marks against subjects, which is the wrong instrument for this age group and is not offered as one.

No authorised-pickup control

There is no pickup authorisation, no gate pass, no one-time collection code and no check-in or check-out of an adult. The two adjacent real features are different: biometric readers record gate *attendance* for enrolled people against their own reader ID, and the QR the product generates is a UPI payment QR. Neither identifies the adult collecting a child. Do not treat any part of Elevate as a safeguarding control.

No SMS and no WhatsApp sending

A notice reaches the noticeboard. It does not go out as an SMS or a WhatsApp message — there is no SMS integration, and the WhatsApp credentials in the codebase are placeholders. Email leaves the platform for transactional things only.

No payslip yet

Staff records and per-employee salary structures are real; a monthly payroll run is not finishable, because both calculation paths require a finalised monthly attendance summary and nothing currently mounts the screen that finalises one. Treat payroll as unavailable.

Elevate ERP is built by Omniflux. There is no named support rota and no response-time commitment; questions go to [email protected]. If anything on this page does not match what you are shown in a demo, that is a defect on our side — tell us and it gets corrected here.

See it against your own play school

A demo on your own class list and fee heads, so you can check the register and the receipt rather than a screenshot.
