Your timezone, your formats, your class names — on one register
Elevate ERP runs the administrative side of an international school in India: your own timezone, date format, digit grouping and currency symbol; class and section names you type yourself; a curriculum blueprint recorded against IB or IGCSE; weighted criterion rubrics you mark assignments against; admissions, fees, exams, attendance and a student portal. What it has none of is IB programme automation, Cambridge integration and multi-currency billing — all three set out below at the same size.
What an international school gets
Every line below names something you can open in a demo and watch work. Where a capability is real but narrower than its name suggests, the limit is in the same sentence.
Your timezone, your date format, your currency symbol
One localisation screen sets the institution’s timezone — Asia/Kolkata, Asia/Dubai, Asia/Singapore, Europe/London, America/New_York or UTC — its date format, including ISO and US month-first, its digit grouping, Indian lakh-crore or international million-billion, and the currency symbol amounts render in: rupee, dollar, euro, pound, dirham or Singapore dollar. These are display settings applied across the interface. The currency choice relabels amounts; it does not convert them.
Class and section names you type yourself
There is no fixed ladder of grade names to fight. A class is a name you type and a section is a name under it, so Year 7, Grade 6 MYP, Form IV and Reception are all just strings — each section carrying its own capacity and an owning teacher, renameable later, and refusing to be deleted while a student is still in it. Departments and streams sit above them with their own codes, and the subject catalogue records each subject as core, elective, lab or extracurricular with its credit hours and every class it is taught to.
A curriculum blueprint recorded against IB or IGCSE
Record a curriculum blueprint against a board — CBSE, ICSE, IB, IGCSE, a state board or your own — with its grade level, version, pedagogy notes and a draft or published state, and map units and competencies onto it. This is your own curriculum documentation, held against the framework you name. It is not programme software: nothing validates it against a published IB or Cambridge specification, and no board has reviewed it.
Weighted criterion rubrics, and marking against them
Build a rubric as a set of criteria, each with its own weight and its own levels, and each level carrying a label, a descriptor and points. Save it to a library and reuse it. When you mark an assignment you score each criterion against its descriptors and those criterion scores are the mark — they sum to it rather than sitting beside a number typed in separately. A conventional three-part scheme can be inserted as a starting point, and a rubric can be drafted from the assignment’s own title, subject and description if you have configured an AI key. Rubrics attach to assignments, not to term reports.
Admissions, fees and receipts
One admission form creates the student and the family record together — parents, a separate guardian where there is one, address, blood group, allergies, emergency contact, and the previous school with its transfer certificate number — and enrolment numbers come from a transactional counter that cannot issue a duplicate. Fee heads sit per class on their own frequency and due day, each able to carry a late-fee rule with a grace period and a cap; concessions are recorded by type as a percentage or a fixed amount. Every payment produces a numbered receipt PDF, reprints watermarked DUPLICATE, numbered from one counter so there are no gaps. Online collection runs through your own Razorpay, PhonePe or Paytm merchant account, with the server refusing any amount that does not equal the outstanding balance to the paisa and verifying the gateway callback with an HMAC-SHA256 signature under a constant-time comparison.
Exams, attendance, timetable and the student portal
Build an exam datesheet paper by paper, with two papers on the same class at the same time refused rather than warned about; mark entry takes a lease, so a second teacher sees who holds the class and subject and must take over explicitly. Attendance is marked on the keyboard across six states with a printable monthly register, and students below three quarters of working days can be sent a warning letter as a PDF. Timetables are built against one period structure with a teacher, class or room booked twice refused at entry. Students sign in to their own portal for timetable, subjects, published results, attendance, fees, library, transport, leave requests and notices for their class, can pay fees there, hand in homework with real file uploads, and raise a doubt that lands in a staff inbox.
Where your data actually sits
Worth knowing before a parent asks. The main database is Firestore, in Google Cloud’s India region — asia-south1, Mumbai, supplemented by MongoDB Atlas and PostgreSQL for high-scale structured reporting and analytics. The Realtime Database, which carries presence and live transport tracking, is in asia-southeast1, Singapore: a second region, and we would rather name it than round it away. Firebase Authentication and file storage run in the same Google project, but nothing in our configuration and no written undertaking fixes their region, so we claim none for them. Beyond Google: image and media assets go through Cloudinary in the United States; the application is hosted on Vercel’s global edge network; transactional email — receipts, admission letters, attendance and transport notices — is relayed through Google’s Gmail SMTP with no region selected, and Resend, in the United States, is configured as a standby that today’s flows do not use. The AI features send prompts to Groq and the Gemini API, and those prompts can carry admission form contents, student work and attendance, examination, fee and payroll records. 11 vendors in all receive personal data on our behalf; every one is listed with its purpose and its location on our subprocessor page, and 5 of the 11 rows say plainly that the processing location is not established, because nobody has told us in writing. Access between institutions is separated by server-side security rules rather than by application code.
What it does not do for an international school
The first three of these were claimed on this page in an earlier version and should not have been. They are withdrawn here at the same size as everything above, because a retraction in small print is not a retraction.
No IB programme support
There is no PYP, MYP or DP implementation. No published IB criteria A to D, no criterion-to-grade boundaries, no 1–7 conversion, no subject-group structure, no student portfolio, no learner-profile record, no CAS or service-and-activity log, no extended-essay tracking, no theory-of-knowledge record and no predicted grades. Report cards, where you generate them, use a fixed eight-band letter scale at the familiar CBSE-style boundaries — which is the wrong instrument for an IB report and is not offered as one.
No Cambridge integration
Nothing here talks to Cambridge International. There is no Checkpoint, no candidate or UCI identifier, no series entry, no forecast grade, no coursework submission and no electronic transcript to any board. IGCSE appears in the product as an option in a curriculum-blueprint dropdown and as an affiliation you can record — that is the extent of it. Elevate is not affiliated with, endorsed by, certified by or approved by the IB, Cambridge International, CBSE, CISCE or any other examination authority.
No multi-currency billing, and no exchange rates
A fee ledger holds one number in one currency. There is no per-student or per-invoice currency, no exchange rate source anywhere in the product, no rate captured at the time of billing, and no FX gain or loss. The currency setting changes the symbol amounts are displayed with, nothing more. And collection is Indian: Razorpay, PhonePe and Paytm settle to an Indian bank account and UPI is an Indian rail, so an overseas family cannot be charged in their own currency through any of them.
No tax invoices, and no compliance claim
Nothing computes GST, VAT or any other sales tax on a fee charge. What the counter produces is a numbered fee receipt, not a tax invoice, and it should not be filed as one. More broadly: Elevate makes no conformance claim under GDPR, the DPDP Act, ISO 27001, SOC 2 or any other standard, and holds no certification against any of them. What it does and does not do about security is set out on our security page, in the same two-ledger form as this one.
The grading system you pick at setup is stored, not applied
Choosing IB or IGCSE during setup records the affiliation and derives a grading system — a four-point GPA for both — onto your school record. Nothing in the examinations module reads that field. Report cards compute the same eight fixed bands whatever you chose. We would rather tell you the setting is inert than let you discover it on the first report card.
The interface is not really translated yet
There is a real translation engine with dictionaries for English, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Arabic and Chinese, including right-to-left handling for Arabic, and the language picker only offers languages that have a dictionary behind them. But each dictionary is around 150 keys and only two screens in the product read them today, so choosing a language leaves most of the interface in English. Treat this as groundwork, not as a localised product.
No parent login, no mobile app, no SMS, no WhatsApp
The one self-service login is the student’s. Guardians are records on the student — named, contactable, addressed on a letter — but they have no accounts, and there is no native Android or iOS app and no push notification. Notices reach the noticeboard and the student portal; they do not go out as SMS or WhatsApp. Transactional email works once you have supplied your own sending credentials, and until you do the product refuses the send rather than pretending it succeeded.
One campus per deployment, and no payslip
Data is scoped to one institution and there is no campus switcher, so a group with a second campus is a second setup rather than one deployment with a hierarchy above it. Separately, staff records and per-employee salary structures are real but a payroll run cannot be completed: both calculation paths require a finalised monthly attendance summary and nothing currently mounts the screen that finalises one.
The infrastructure providers and their locations are listed at subprocessors, and what is and is not in place on security. Elevate ERP is built by Omniflux; there is no named support rota and no response-time commitment, and questions go to [email protected]. If anything on this page does not match what you are shown in a demo, that is a defect on our side — tell us and it gets corrected here.
The modules behind this
Descriptions are read from the module index, so they cannot drift from what all twelve modules say about themselves.
Students
Admission through to alumni on one record: the admission form, documents, bulk operations for the work that is genuinely bulk, and a student portal students sign into themselves.
Academics
Build the session once — departments, streams, classes, sections, houses and the subject directory — then map curriculum and competencies onto it. Promotion between sessions runs off rules you set rather than a manual re-entry.
Fees
Fee heads, concessions and automated demand generation, then a cashier session that reconciles at the end of the day. A receipt is tied to the demand it settles, so what is outstanding is derived rather than tracked separately.
Examinations
Blueprint a paper, schedule the exam, enter grades on a keyboard-driven grid, and generate report cards from the marks already in the system. Papers can be edited in a Word-style editor and kept in a reusable library.
Attendance
Fast per-class entry, a monthly register that finalises, and an eligibility engine that turns a shortage into a letter you can send. Leave is recorded against the same record, so a shortfall reflects approved absence.
Timetable
A grid built against real periods and teacher loads, with conflict detection while you edit rather than after you publish, and a substitution board for the morning a teacher calls in sick.
See it against your own school
A demo on your class names, your fee heads and a rubric you actually use — so you can check the marking screen and the receipt rather than a screenshot.
